Dan Plunkett - Book Signing for "Southerly"

November 7

Dan is originally from the New Orleans area and his book Southerly is a tribute to the South. The book depicts individuals from Louisiana, Alabama, Texas, and Georgia. The photographer will be signing books and all proceeds go to the New Orleans Photo Alliance. Where: New Orleans Photo Alliance

Southerly is based upon the intriguing lives of the South. The South has shaped our nation’s values, sins and successes. Plunkett documented an important perspective of a conspicuous, but too-often-stereotyped, culture within our country that is in the process of dissolving into the twenty-first century. Even with the obstacles the subjects face, there is a true happiness that they live with. The true goal of Southerly is to pay back the people, and the culture that helped Plunkett.
